The Thesis

We are buying the proof before we sell the software

Most software companies invent a product and then hunt for customers willing to bet their business on it. We are taking the opposite path: Sell AI's first customer is a brand we own outright, acquired at a discount, with a lender to repay and a five-year plan to hit. The Alps & Meters acquisition is not adjacent to the Sell AI story — it is the first chapter of it.

The acquisition gives us something no pitch deck can: a live, high-stakes operating environment where the software either earns its place or doesn't. Every capability Sell AI claims must show up in the numbers of a real business before we ever ask an outside brand to trust it. That sequence — own it, prove it, then sell it — is the entire strategy.

Beta Program · Next · Following the Alps & Meters proof

Five to seven brands, none of them ours

Once the proof of concept holds, we open Sell AI to a structured beta with five to seven brands that Tailored Ventures does not own. These are operating consumer brands — similar scale, similar pains — running Sell AI on their own storefronts, their own inventory and their own customers.

  • —

The beta answers the question ownership cannot: does Sell AI create value for a brand we don't control?

  • —

Structured feedback loops shape the product from outside perspectives before a single enterprise contract is signed.

  • —

Pricing, onboarding and support models are discovered here — with brands small enough that we can be hands-on.

Why the Acquisition Is the Proof

Four reasons Phase 1 starts with Alps & Meters

It buys the hardest test case

Any software can look good on a healthy brand. Sell AI's first assignment is a brand with $1.01M of inventory at cost, a 20% return rate, a $300K lender repayment and a Meta account to rebuild. If it works here, it works anywhere.

It aligns every incentive

Because we own the brand, we feel the cost of every inefficiency Sell AI fails to remove — and the benefit of every dollar it recovers. There is no gap between the software's claims and its operator's experience.

It produces the evidence enterprise buyers demand

An enterprise client does not buy a deck. They buy a documented recovery: a brand acquired at a discount, revived on Sell AI, and grown to a five-year revenue target. That case study is worth more than any feature list.

It de-risks the beta before it starts

By the time external brands touch Sell AI, the rough edges are gone — worked out on our own P&L, at our own cost, without putting a single outside relationship at risk.
